Ladies vs Gentlemen, 21 March 2006

In an extremely closely fought contest the gents team consisting of Norman Robertson, Marshall Falconer, Jim Paterson and George Harris managed to win by a single shot against the team skipped by Fiona Glass with Sheila Sturrock, Kate Walker and Rita Harris, ends being four apiece.
In the second match the gents (Skip Maurice Rennie together with Walter MacGowan, Bob Glass and Des Burt) came back from 5/nil down after four ends to snatch a fine 8/5 victory from the ladies team of Margaret Falconer, Ann Roy, Margaret Brown and Gill Smith the ends being 4/3 in favour of the ladies. It was reported that Mrs Falconer was most gracious in defeat.

The evening was brought to a close over refreshments and light hearted discussion on the finer points of this most enjoyable and good natured contest.
