The 172nd AGM was held on Tuesday 17 April 2018 at Buchanan Castle Golf Club. The meeting and prizegiving took place took place at 6.30 and was followed by a buffet supper.
There were no changes to the Main Club committee but Gail Pain succeeded Gill Smith as President of the Ladies Section.
The results of the main competitions can be found at Archive for the Main Club and Ladies Archive for the Ladies Section. Both the Main Club and the Ladies Section had awards for the Curler of the Year which went to John Phillips and Norma Thornton respectively.
Two Ladies teams played against Club 90 at The Peak on 22 February. Team 1 (Marie Elder, Sally Macfarlane, Maureen Royston and Gail Pain) were just beaten in the last end by 9 shots to 8. Team 2 (Gill Smith, Isabel Robertson, Luisella Mosley and Heather Burns) won their match 8 shots to 5. This gave Strathendrick a win overall by 16 shots to 14.
As the Province Points was cancelled due to a ice plant breakdown, the competition was incorporated into the Beattie Points. Only 4 members of the club took part - partly because others were playing a Forest Hills League game at the same time. The winner of the Points Trophy was Mike Jackson on 25 points from 7 disciplines. Mary MacDonald, who was second on 24 points, won the prize for the top scoring Senior Lady. Fiona Glass on 23 and Di Jackson on 22 were close behind.

Strathendrick narrowly lost to Balfron by one end.
This season, the Club had a win against Bonnybridge by 6 shots to 4, so there will be another medal to add to our collection.
The Club had our first win in the Balyarrow Trophy, against the other clubs formed in 1846, at our eight attempt. With the help of three players from neighbouring clubs, we won 3 of our games and drew the 4th. The teams were: Jane McLaren, Peter Sturrock, Rosemary Miller and Keith Hyam; Kim McLaren, John Steel (Drymen), Mary MacDonald and Stan Moore; John Phillips, Fiona Glass, Helen Watson and Sandy Park; Grant Farquharson (Balfron), Bob Glass, Eileen McNulty (Balfron) and Gill Smith.
The quiz, which followed the President v Past President bonspiel, was won by John O'Neill, Tony Flisch, Mary Macdonald, Fiona Glass and Jean Verrall, who correctly answered 17 questions out of 20. The other three teams tied for second place on a score of 15.

Sandy Park became President of the Club in succession to Donnie MacDonald. Di Jackson succeeded Sandy as Secretary. Tony Flisch was elected onto the committee.
Peter Smith was awarded honorary membership for his services to the Club, in particular to the operating of the website and the processing and printing of the annual booklets.
